About the Event

This Class is hosted by Atherton Arts Foundation inside Holbrook Palmer Park in Atherton.

Mayumi will introduce botanical printing using fresh leaves and flowers along with minerals to transfer natural colors and shapes from plants onto fiber.

Level 1 class is an introduction class making white background scarf. This class will give you an understanding of dye plants and deepen your relationship with nature.

Level 2 class is the next level from Level 1 and will introduce blue grey color background to your scarf. You will take home a beautiful, one-of-a-kind silk scarf dyed with fresh plants from the Bay Area.

You must either take the Level 1 class in the morning or have taken my Level 1 class (with white back ground) in the past. Email me, if you have any questions.

Materials: All materials are included. Each attendee will receive a ready-to-dye silk scarf (11 x 64") and all the tools needed for participation. Fresh leaves and flowers will be provided but you are also encouraged to bring flowers from your own garden for an ultra-personal scarf!
