This leather clutch bag is hand dyed using natural dye with Brazilwood with real leaves on top of kid leather (soft baby goat), rolled and steamed for 1 hour to extract the color and patterns from the leaves. It is like printing a photo directly from the leaves to leather. Then it is hand sewn into a clutch bag. The inner lining is also hand dyed using the same technique on silk.
This is a limited edition bag since I cannot make many of them.
The plants are harvested from the San Francisco Bay Area, and each piece is handmade using natural dyes. It takes several days process to print and sew, and each piece is unique and cannot be reproduced. Each piece comes with a hand written label describing all the plants that were used.
